I think that it is clear that with the first group of Lehites there was a temple similar to Israel and probably similar practices. However, later on the term temple is not limited to the law of Moses/Christian practice as Noah had one as did other non-Nephite groups (Mosiah 11:10, Alma 23:2). There is really little mention of them really much after the first Lehite group in the BOM, one wonders if they were really utilized in religious practice having much to do with the original practice among the Jews.
