This is a very thought provoking and excellent study. I agree with the above remarks, and also made me wonder if I’m missing huge lessons, I just didn’t get. Scary to think
about. I too am grateful for this article and the knowledge and insight shared.
Thank you Brother/Mr. Ellis! I learned so much!
I never supposed anyone could get so much from the story of the anti-Christ Korihor. This paper is a wonderful example of what Joseph Smith taught:
“The things of God are of deep import; and time, and experience, and careful and ponderous and solemn thoughts can only find them out. Thy mind, O man! if thou wilt lead a soul unto salvation, must stretch as high as the utmost heavens, and search into and contemplate the darkest abyss, and the broad expanse of eternity” (TPJS p. 137).
This paper made me want to dig deeper into the scriptures. It made me want to think. It even caused me feel sorry for Korihor. For that I welcome the call to repentance. I wondered at the start of this paper why anyone would care about Korihor’s background or his end. Now I care. A lot of thought and time and effort went into this paper, For which I am grateful.
