I have always been interested in these scriptures. I have always believed that they have to do with the sealing power of the priesthood. The part about no shutting and opening are, in my mind, referring to the sealing power. When I read this along with Rev 3:7-12 the reference to the temple is more vivid. I also think about Matt 25 and the ten virgins. When the five wise go in the door the 5 foolish are left outside and it tells us the door was shut and they couldn’t come into the feast. Again, reminds me of the sealing power.
