There is one thought on “Second Nephi as a Legal Document”.

  1. I had not heard this concept or “manner of prophecy” previously. To juxtapose unrelated prophecies in the same document order to validate them seems like a reasonable strategy. I just saw this in Helaman 8:20… perhaps it is an example.

    “…and Jeremiah
A (Jeremiah being that same prophet who testified
B of the destruction of Jerusalem)
B and now we know that Jerusalem was destroyed
A according to the words of Jeremiah. (chiasmus)
O then why not the Son of God come, according to his prophecy?”

I would be happy to know of other straight forward examples if you have them. Thanks
