This is a very significant step in moving us forward in understanding Nephi’s text. The issue of where the “ore” that Nephi describes smelting to make his ship-building tools has, until now, only had minor indications that iron, at least, existed in the immediate area. This well illustrated study outlines the steps, and some missteps, in the search up to this point, giving us increased confidence that a fully plausible ore site will yet be identified.
