I’m always impressed by Alma. He spends a lot of time with his wayward son answering the questions for him. I love the “I perceive” language that shows me the tender parent side of his role in fatherhood. I’m sure he spent some time in prayer as his own father did-asking the Lord to fill his mind with spiritual perceptions of what bothered Corianton. The Lord enlightened his mind so that Alma could perceive things that may have been hard for his son to articulate. Oh, that we could all perceive in such humility! I learn that if we put in the work, the Lord will help us perceive.
