There is one thought on “Withstanding Satan’s Siege through Christ’s Iron Rod: The Vision of the Tree of Life in Context of Ancient Siege Warfare”.

  1. Thank you for a thoughtful article! I had one thought to share: when we consider the iron rod as the word of God, I’ve too often equated that iron rod to solely be the written scriptures. But in Nephi’s day, I do not think there was as much access to the written word of God as we are blessed to have today. Perhaps the “word of God” in Nephi’s dream had more focus and emphasis on God’s word to us through living prophets than I have allowed for in the past. Perhaps Nephi’s vision was an urging to his brothers and others to hearken to the words of their prophet father Lehi? Thoughts for a Sunday. Again thank you.
