This is Scripture Roundtable 120 from The Interpreter Foundation, in which we discuss the New Testament Gospel Doctrine Lesson #22, “Inherit the Kingdom Prepared for You” focusing on scriptures in Matthew 25, bringing in various insights to help us better understand the scriptures. Concerning the parable of the talents, the way I see it is that it talks about our premortal life, our mission here on earth, our possibility to inherit etrneal life and our return to be judged.
Thoses verses refer to that teaching :
D&C 88 : 32 And they who remain shall also be quickened; nevertheless, they shall return again to their own place, to enjoy that which they are willing to receive, because they were not willing to enjoy that which they might have received.
33 For what doth it profit a man if a gift is bestowed upon him, and he receive not the gift? Behold, he rejoices not in that which is given unto him, neither rejoices in him who is the giver of the gift.
